Hey, it's me again. Angeline. After a fun weekend of Mixed Media at Scrap-n-Crop.com, I am armed with a brand new inky roller (brayer) .. Ok not so new coz it's filled with layers of paints now :)
Scrap-n-Crop.com has 3 sizes of inky rollers by Ranger. Click HERE to get yours now.
Here's a comparison of the sizes side-by-side (Credit to Ranger for the photo)
For today's quick tutorial - I am using the mini inky roller to create my very own abstract background.
Let's get started!
***
1. Get your distress paints and put some onto your watercolor cardstock randomly.
2. Get your inky roller and start rolling! :)
IMPORTANT TIP
#1 Remember to not be "greedy" and add too many colors. This will cause the colors to become muddy.
#2 After each roll, clean your brayer on a scrap paper so not to contaminate the rest of the colors.
#3 If you want to add more colors on top (let's say you think you need more yellow), wait till the first layer is dried then add. If not, again, this will make the colors muddy.
Here I've tried with some other Distress Paint colors :)
Now, go have fun and start rolling! :)
