Hi! It's Angeline again. :)
Have you heard? From the latest CHA 2014 to art journals, canvases, layouts ... even Project Life - Mixed Media is hot hot HOT! So, here are some common questions asked (and my personal answers to it). No way I'm an expert at this but I am merely sharing my experience :)

"What is Mixed Media?"
In plain and simple terms, mixed media simply means any scrappy project that involves using more than one medium such as ink, pastels, markers, paint, gesso ... anything!
"I don't like MM because it is Messy!"
That's not always the case. Mixed Media can be anything you create - be it messy or clean. Here are some beautiful samples from Nathalie Kalbach.

"I don't create canvas arts. How else can I use MM?"
Mixed Media can be used in many ways - not only on canvas arts. You can incorporate the MM techniques into mini albums, art journals, cards, tags, Project Life -- anything you can think of! Here are some latest Mixed Media trends spotted at the CHA 2014 recently. Click HERE to view the full post.
"Do I need lots of tools to do Mixed Media?"
Not really. It's all about mixing and matching. There are some basic tools but if you only have paint and a few brushes - you can get started right away!
"How do I get started?"
Be on a lookout as NEXT WEEK as I start a Mixed Media mini series. First on the plate will be ways on how you can use your stencils and squeeze every cent out of it! :)
