Today we will be talking about
STENCILS. Yups. Below is my HUGE stash of Stencils and I'm sure I ain't the only one crazy about these. Well, no worries if you do not have any.
Scrap-n-Crop.com has a HUGE selection that you can pick from
HERE.
I will be sharing FOUR ways to use your stencils today. Of coz there's more but let's start with some tiny steps ok? :) I am making 3x4 journal cards to fit right into my Project Life album with some watercolor cardstock. Of coz you can make yours any shape or size you want ... So, let's get started!

# 1 - Embossing with Stencils
----------------------------------------------------------
1. Grab your favorite stencil and a piece of watercolor cardstock . Tape down your stencil to your craft sheet to avoid it from moving too much - and mask off the areas that you do not want.
2. Get your embossing ink and stamp right onto the stencil where you want your design to be.
3. I am using some white embossing powder here.
Tip: Put your embossing powder into a container and just spoon it over your project. This will avoid wastage and won't leave a mess :)
4. Heat it up with your craft tool
5. Next, ink it up with some distress inks. You can wipe off the excess ink from the embossed area with a baby wipe or wet tissue.
6. Take another of your favorite stencil and we will be layering it on top with some distress ink.
7. Finish it up with a stamp and you're done!
Tip: To create the water droplets, just sprinkle some water onto the distress inks and it will react with the water.

#2 - Liquid pearls with Stencils
-----------------------------------------------------------------
1. Mist your cardstock with some colors
2. Get your favorite stencil and fill it in with some liquid pearls
Warning: This may stain your stencil. Try washing it off immediately after use with some warm water and soap.
3. Remove the stencil and let it dry or heat dry it with your craft tool.
4. Add some embellies and stamp - and you're done!

#3 - Drawing & Stamping with Stencils
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Color your background with Gelatos. After that, add some water and blend it in with a brush or your fingers.
2. Place your stencil on your cardstock and draw in the shape.
3. Mask off your stencil with some scrap paper and stamp in the shape you just drew.
4. I added some butterflies and pearls with a stamp, and there you have it! :)

#4 - Gesso with Stencils
----------------------------------------------------
1. Get an even coat of gesso onto your cardstock with your stencil. Then let it dry or use a craft tool and dry it.
Tip: A thinner coat will dry faster, a thicker coat will give a more embossed feel.
2. Get your Distress Paint and dab some onto your craft sheet. Use your watercolor brush and add some color to the grooves.
3. Embellish it and you are done!
Here are my four journal cards side-by-side.
Hope you have been inspired to bring out your stencils and start crafting!
