Scrappy Angie's: Pocket card {card kit}

Have you gotten your exclusive Scrap-n-Crop.com card kit yet? If you haven't, this is the best time to get it HERE. It is really a big pack of FUN!

Last week, I made a card using the kit HERE , great for Mother's Day or even your BFF.

This week, I have a pink and fun card for your dearest friend. Pocket style!
(credit goes to SCS for this fun tutorial)

Do ignore my horrible sketches below. Just follow the measurements and you will be fine :)

***

1. Cut out 3 pieces of patterned paper from the kit with sizes below:
8" x 8 1/2" (for the pocket card)
3 3/4" x 5 1/2" (for the card insert)
1 3/4" x 8 1/2" (for the band)

2. Score the pocket card like below (follow the purple lines) then cut off the parts in yellow

3. Next, trim the sides to make the flaps rounded

4. Fold all the lines you scored in Step (2)

5. Next, take your band and score it at 4 1/8" and 8 1/4". Add some adhesive to the 1/4" wide tab left on your band. Tape it together to form your band - which will wrap around your pocket card in Step (4)

6. Decorate your card insert and you're insert it into your pocket card and you're done!!

Here's what I made using the steps above.

I added ribbon to the flap to soften the look. For the band, I stamped the sentiment from the Kaisercraft clear stamp set and added the glittered butterfly with some twine.

As for the insert, I added the washi stickers and the glittered heart for some texture.
