NEW ARRIVALS!!! NEW Glimmer Mist Chalkboard by Tattered Angels in

NEW shades of Glimmer Mist Chalkboard by Tattered Angels have arrived in

The need for an semi-opaque paint became very apparent with the original Marshmallow Glimmer Mist, which is now the top seller in Tattered Angels' Chalkboard range. Marshmallow became so popular Tattered Angels decided to create a whole line of this creamy semi-opaque paint.

Currently you would now know Marshmallow as the color Chalk in the Chalkboard line. The same beautiful Glimmer as Glimmer Mist, yet the base will give you a semi-opaque finish with tremendous depth of color.

Available in a clear bottle with the color swatch featured on the back, for perfect matching.

Blends nicely with the Original Glimmer Mist line and creates a sense of depth when mixing them together. Chalkboard is a paint medium that will give a variety of finishes and techniques. The more even the application the more even coverage and depth of color. Air dry or using a heat gun to speed up the process. Chalkboard is water-soluble, odorless and made in the USA

Chalkboard TIPS and TECHNIQUES from Tattered Angels blog

Chalkboard Paint was designed to give you an semi-opaque mist finish with a touch of glimmer. This paint works well to soak in to papers with a super fast dry time. With a light mist delivers a heavy color saturation. Several sprays will give you an opaque finish.  Dye any fine fabirc or paper quickly. Multiple coats will give you a solid intense coating. The more you spray the more coverage you will get.  Before you spray you will want to practice the shaking technique to get the most of that great glimmer and glitter in each spray. Hold the bottle straight up and shake side to side multiple times. You want to avoid flipping the bottle or turning the bottle over as much as possible. For a demonstration of the best way to shake up your Glimmer Mist paints – CLICK HERE FOR VIDEO.  For a light, evenly misted look hold Chalkboard away from your project, and spray, such as you would when applying hairspray.  For a thicker, raindrop application hold Chalkboard closer to your project while spraying.  Doing quick half pump sprays will give you the dotted effect however can back up the glimmer in the sprayer cap causing clogging.  To achieve an even smooth finish add glimmer mist to paper surface. Apply a paper towel evenly over sprayed surface and remove extra Chalkboard by rolling a brayer over the paper towel.  For a pooling effect, which gives intense color, spray Chalkboard very closely and directly on your project.  You can let Chalkboard air dry or use a heating tool to speed up the drying process.  Please note that while Chalkboard is attractive when just using one color, layering multiple colors also adds a beautiful richness to your projects.  Chalkboard is perfect on fabric, but is water based and is not designed for apparel projects that will be washed.  When spraying on paper, it may curl, secure down with heavy objects to allow the finished project to dry flat.  For more helpful ideas and tips, please refer to our blogs: INSPIRATION BLOG or TIPS & TECHNIQUES BLOG

Chalkboard TECHNIQUES to TRY from Tattered Angels blog

Spray onto unfinished wood – dries instantly, try mixing colors to create a wide range of faux finish looks.   Apply to chipboard or other thick papers – they handle the water base paint amazingly well allowing you to try a wide range of Chalkboard painting techniques.    Apply mist to papers with dark ink prints or resist to create one of kind papers   Placing a light mist across the Misting Mat or Slick surface. Using any stamp, acrylic or rubber, apply ink just like you would an ink pad and stamp on to your desired location. This may take a few attempts to get the perfect stamped image. Detailed images will be more difficult.    Spray onto styrofoam plate and dip rubber stamp onto paint to create a glimmer ink and apply to your craft projects    Place a mask onto any medium and spray, the masked area will remain the original medium and the rest will be misted    Spray generously on light weight paper and crumple to get a fun texture.   Chalkboard works especially well on non porous Slick surfaces such as metal, and glass and plastic – for best results allow to air dry. The more applied the longer the dry time is. Set with a heat gun.    Mist generously onto slick surface and allow to dry creating a stained glass effect   Spray onto any printed sticker or chipboard sticker to add your own touch of shimmer. Apply a light spray for a touch of shipper or apply many coats to get a very shimmery look.  Change the color or create your own custom tint of ribbon,  silk or fabric flowers by applying one or more colors of paint.
