what's Gelatos?
Design Memory Craft Gelatos® are compact acid-free pigment sticks of water soluble crayons that glide on with a creamy smooth feel for vibrant color and coverage.
It blends easily with or without water and can be applied on paper, canvas, or wood!
If you're still wondering what's so hot and irresistible about Faber Castell's Gelatos, check out the two videos below by Faber-Castell featuring Donna Downey showcasing two techniques with Gelators: Dripping Techniques and Dry Resist
Dripping really showcases the range of things you can do with water-solubility.
With this technique, Gelatos are applied to paper, roughly smudged with a finger and then moistened with a spray. The liquefied colour starts to run as soon as the paper is tilted. The degree of the gradient can be controlled by inclining the paper and subsequent water sprays.
