Join Edmund, co-founder and creator of B'Nottee (be-No-tee) @b.nottee for a stamp carving adventure where you will learn the ins and outs of carving your own rubber stamps. Perfect for scrapbooks, cards, art journaling, and mixed media, you can create unique hand-carved rubber stamps just with a few basic tools!
Edmund will go over the basics of stamp carving, explaining the negative and positive images, outlining tools needed, the difference between different carving tools, different stamping blocks and cutting techniques. You will learn to carve simple shapes, and carve a few different designs. At the end of the carving session, you will get to carve one to two stamps depending on the intricacy of your carving patterns. Participants can also bring images which they would want to carve.
Edmund will also go through the basics of stamping and inking, underlying the types of inks and you will learn to make images and prints using your newly carved stamp! He will round off the session explaining how to take care and store your stamps!
Guaranteed to be a fun afternoon, participants will also get an opportunity to purchase various stamp carving tools and inks in our store at a special discount! There will also be a B'Nottee pop up store at the event!
See you in class!
