does that mean all the existing 40% discount on patterned paper does not qualify for free shipping? I have saved some of those in my cart prior to this, so, do i need to remove them from my cart and put in a separate order?

Your cart will automatically reflect the discounted papers when it is processed. so do not worry. papers are heavy, we are clearing it at nearly cost price so yes all the 40% papers do not qualify for free shippign! have fun!
