DIE CUT MACHINES
There are many die cut machines which can make our life easier by producing cut-outs and embosses your card stock easily. Generally these machines are grouped into 2 categories: The Manual Machines and the Electronic Machines. Below we will summarize the pros and cons as well as the availability of the different machines in the market.
MANUAL MACHINES
Manual die cut machines are those that do not require any electricity ports or a computer. You can easily operate a manual die cut machine simply with the use of just your pair of hands!
Pros of a Manual Machine:
- Portability: Because it does not require a computer or an electricity port, you can carry your manual die cut machines anywhere, making it rather useful for crops and scrapping events.
- Ease of Use: Because this machine does not require any computer usage, the manual machine is the easiest of all to operate, especially if you are technologically challenged!
- Die Compatibility: Most manufacturers design their machines that may come with different adapters so you could use other machine dies. This means your choice of dies is not restricted only to the brand of machine you carry.
Cons of a Manual Machine:
- Handling: It may look simple enough to use, but a manual die cut machine still requires some strength to roll the handle, making it cumbersome if you intend to cut a huge quantity of die cuts.
- Die Sizes: What you see if what you get, which means if you need several sizes of an alphabet set, you will need to purchase respective dies.
