Somethings are just too SPOOKY

.
This Raya break I decided to decorate the Scrap.Abode up - infusing some Halloween festivity into it.

Not that I am not a fan or supporter of Malaysian culture and festivity - with Raya and Deepavali around the same time, I am by nature drawn to Goth; hence my fixation with the colour black, my love affair with Tim Holtz, attraction to wings and crowns ... ok, I just got the sick feeling in the pit of my stomach recalling Mayan's incredulous words and tone: "you bought 100 sets of Maya Road wings?!?" ... followed by my sister's "What?!!!!!" 'Wings? What do we do with 100 SETS of wings?"

Anyway, that was also a long, long time ago ... so, drop it. :)
Let's focus on recent s-p-o-o-k-y and the reason for this blog entry.

Here's one:

I had two lovely ladies over recently and my 2 years (nearly) 3 months old daughter said "Check this out", pointing to the plastic funnel tray just as the ladies were leaving the store.
.
.
"Check this out"?!? Gosh! This naturally got me spinning down the 'I am a bad mother' route for exposing her in the store too much. But wait a minute. First, I can't say we spend too much time in the store. After all the Scrap.Abode is only open through invitation. Secondly, I never say 'check this out' ...errr... those who knows me in person will agree that 'check this out' is a bit too glamorous and upper class for simple Val to say!

The second s-p-o-o-k-y encounter this Raya break was:

We found a box of Halloween themed items amongst the many unopened 'junk-to-sort-out' pile. You know, the kind where you tell yourself you would go through when you are free-er ... but never since watching the DVD is considered work and so is taking a nap.

OK. So far nothing spooky about this... well, not until you are told that I swear I never bought any of those stuff and it really isn't my kindda thing/style. But what the heck, it makes great Scrap.Abode decor and was useful for some of Scrap-n-Crop.com's One-of-a-Kind Kit.

While rummaging through the box, I got inspired to make the mini album featured in Scrapbook Trends 2009 Idea Book - Mini Album which brings me to ...

s-p-o-o-k-y #3!

Whaddya know... I have everything needed to make that Spooky Fun album!
..
O.K. Sorry. That wasn't really spooky ... but still?!? {one must never let this on to my hubby}.
.
So, ladies, I will let you know how my mini album that turns out ... oh but darn! first I need to copy last year's Halloween party photos into a CD and get it printed at the shop. I really must get a photo printer. I must. It's an essential 'tool' for scrap booking wouldn't you say?

Hugs, Val

LOL - I bet Becks got the "check this out" from watching Barney heheheee (just another reason to love the big purple guy!) LOL
Look forward to seeing your decorating efforts :-)

Val, I don't think anything will surprise hubby by now and the photo printer is definitely a must have. Didn't someone in the forum a long time ago said somthing about you eventually selling cameras? lol
