Wondering what to do with these cutesy Balzer Bits Masks?
Well, check out the video below where none other than Julie Fei-Fan Balzer shares 3 techniques to creating fun, versatile projects with her new Balzer Bits.
For those that are wondering what's the difference between a stencil and a mask, well, here's a quick and easy explanation by Julie.
As you can see from the diagram, you push colorant through a stencil. A mask covers (or masks) an area and the colorant goes around it. All of the Balzer Bits are masks. However, a student asked me if there were a way to treat them as stencils. I put on my thinking cap and came up with an idea.
Watch the video for the how-to:
In this video Julie shares (a) how she add duct tape to the edge of her square stencils, and (b) how to add tape to the edge of your Balzer Bits to turn them into stencils instead of masks! All the stencils in the video are Balzer Designs, winter 2105 release from The Crafter's Workshop.
